What is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes about?

According to information published by Variety, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will be located several years after what happened in The Planet of the Apes: War, directed by Matt Reeves (The Batman). A few weeks ago, it was announced that the plot will follow the descendants of César, the protagonist of the first three films.
The Hollywood Reporter offers a little more clarity on the plot:
Since Caesar, who like Moses, led his people to an oasis, many ape communities have flourished while humans have devolved into savages and can only survive in the wild. Some groups of apes have never heard of Caesar, while others have twisted his teachings to build flourishing empires.

In this hypothetical situation, an ape leader starts to subjugate other tribes in order to discover human technology, while another ape, who witnessed the expulsion of his clan, sets out on a quest for freedom. A young human girl becomes the key to the latter’s search, though she has plans of her own.
When is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Officially Released?
Kingdom of the Apes will hit theaters on May 24, 2024, which means it will be released seven years after the last Planet of the Apes installment. Currently, the reboot of the franchise has three films.

Who Runs Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes?
Maze Runner trilogy filmmaker Wes Ball will direct the kingdom of the Planet of the Apes from a script written by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, and Patrick Aison.
Who Performs in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes?
The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will give prominence to Cornelius, the son of Caesar. In August 2022, Owen Teague joined the film’s cast in the lead role of Cornelius. The actor is well-known for his performances as Patrick Hockstetter in It (2017) and its sequel, as well as Harold Lauder in The Stand (2020-2021), which he will star in. In addition, he played an important part in the drama Every Day (2018) as well as the thriller I See You (2019).
Alongside Teague as the lead, Freya Allan will appear as the film’s main human. She is best known for her role as Princess Ciri on Netflix’s The Witcher.

Kevin Durand will play the ape leader of a clan that holds other groups of apes captive. The actor is popular for his roles as Barry Burton in Resident Evil: Retribution and The Blob in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, among others.
In September 2022, Peter Macon from “The Orville” became a member of the cast of “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” and in October of that same year, Eka Darville from “Jessica Jones” did the same. During the same month, the cast was expanded to include Travis Jeffery, Neil Sandilands, Sara Wiseman, Lydia Peckham, and Ras-Samuel Weld A’abzgi. William H. Macy and Dichen Lachman joined the cast the following year, in January and February of 2023, respectively.
