Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have decided to part ways.
According to official papers obtained, the artist filed for divorce in Florida on Tuesday in Miami Dade County. The petition cites “irretrievably broken” marriage as grounds for dissolution.
They had two children, born in the years 2020 and 2022. Jonas is requesting dual custody. According to the document, he and Turner have a prenuptial agreement.
They started dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2017. Turner was wearing her new engagement ring when Jonas posted a photo on his verified Instagram page with the message “she said yes.”
Turner and the Jonas Brothers singer later married twice.
The first took place in Las Vegas in 2019 after they attended the Billboard Music Awards, where they exchanged vows in front of a small group of relatives and friends during a ceremony lead by an Elvis Presley impersonator. Diplo, a DJ and wedding attendee, initially revealed the wedding when he posted a series of photographs and videos from within the venue. Turner’s representative later verified that the couple had married.
According to Elle, the “Game of Thrones” actress and Jonas remarried in an extravagant ceremony at the gorgeous Château de Tourreau in the south of France.
Turner provided a glimpse into the wedding a few days later when she posted a black and white snapshot of the couple during their recessional to her Instagram page, stating “Mr and Mrs Jonas” in the caption.
Maise Williams, who co-starred in “Thrones” with Turner, reportedly acted as her Maid of Honor, while Jonas’s brothers and bandmates Nick and Kevin were also in attendance at the French event.
