Guardians of the Galaxy 3 comes out at a very important time for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The series is one of the MCU’s most unexpected successes. It comes out in theaters in the middle of a storm of comments on social media, many of which refer to the failure of superhero movies and the many complaints about movies like Ant-Man 3 and She-Hulk.
Even though it seems like people will keep talking about how many video games are being turned into movies, the new Marvel movie has reasons to bring the conversation back to superheroes.
If it works, don’t change it
When the Guardians of the Galaxy made their first appearance in the MCU almost ten years ago, everyone fell in love with this wacky and little-known group of outcasts. Even though Iron-Man or Captain America weren’t the main characters, the film was a hit. It had a unique visual style and a crazy story full of action and humor.

Years later, the formula was used again in the second part of the series. It lived up to fans’ expectations, but it did not completely win them over. So, when Guardians of the Galaxy 3 was coming out soon, the question on the message boards was the same: would we see the same recipe again?
The answer is “yes” in this case. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. James Gunn knows exactly what made his series so great: humor, action, a powerful score, and super-powerful irreverence. Again, it’s all here and it works.
The story is about another problem that affects the whole galaxy. Peter Quill (Chris Pratt), who is still upset about losing Gamora (Zoe Saldana), must get his team together to protect the world and one of their own. Yes, it’s the same as before.
But this is where the method is changed again.
Characters who were already known but hadn’t been used much in earlier parts get new facets that make the word “team” make sense. Mantis, Drax, Groot, and Nebula are just on a different level, but Rocket is the star of the show.
Few new people have joined the team, but they are good. Please pay close attention to Cosmo. But his evil enemy, the High Evolutionary, deserves special attention. Thanks to the great work of Chukwudi Iwuji, the High Evolutionary is the best enemy of the Guardians in the whole story.

To be able to say “goodbye” is to grow
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is the last movie in the series. If you don’t know much about Marvel and superhero movies, you should know that this is the “goodbye” of the brand.
James Gunn is leaving Marvel to become the creative director at DC Comics. Meanwhile, some of the MCU’s main actors, like Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana, have made it clear that they don’t want to come back to the MCU.
The “goodbye” was for good, and the cosmic rebels’ latest epic takes it very seriously.
Gunn doesn’t care what it takes to break the hearts of his fans. We won’t say if this character or that one dies, but there are definitely conversations that feel like goodbyes, and you’ll have to be very strong to not shed a tear or two in the more than two hours it lasts.
Guardians of the Galaxy has been a mainstay of the MCU for almost a decade, so it’s sad to see them go, but it seems inevitable. The Marvel Universe is going in a new direction, and it’s hard to think of a good way to fit these heroes into a time with new characters and stories without making them very different from who they are now.
A top-notch sound track
Even though a film’s music can’t tell you everything about how good it is, it can help you remember it.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3’s music doesn’t let down, and even though some people might say it’s not as good as the one from the first movie, it does what it needs to do. James Gunn’s style is almost like that of a tarantula, and he has a great sense for putting together a mix where classic rock and 80s pop songs go well together.
“Creep” by Radiohead, “No Sleep Til Brooklyn” by the Beastie Boys, and “Dog Days Are Over” by Florence + the Machine, among other songs, come at the right time to make the action scenes and serious parts of the movie even more epic. the film.
The Guardians of the Galaxy series will be remembered for a lot of things, like its strange visual style, its irreverent sense of humor, and its likeable characters. But if there is one thing that will stand out, it will be the series’ successful music.
