Months ago, it was revealed that Loki would be back for a second season, which is reason enough to be excited.

The first season of Loki ended with a big reveal: behind The Void, the AVT, and Alioth was He Who Remains, a character played by Jonathan Majors could now be replaced because of the accusations against him who seems to be a version of Kang the Conqueror (who also appears in Ant-Man: Quantum Mania) and is the real leader.

He Who Remains (also known as Kang the Conqueror) says that he was the last survivor of a multiverse war that broke out in the 31st century after the existence of the multiverse was discovered and several of its versions were found. This is why he took control of Alioth and turned it into a weapon to keep order and have a way to protect the timeline.

The ending shows a fight within the AVT, especially after Mobius tries to convince Renslayer to do the right thing, Sylvie confronts He Who Remains, and Loki ends up in a version of reality where Kang is honored with a huge sculpture that shows them as the “conqueror” of the comics. This sets the tone for Loki Season 2.

Work is being done on Loki Season 2. Marvel News shared the first picture from the set of the movie. In it, Tom Hiddleston is wearing a stylish suit, which suggests that Loki might be on a mission that takes him to an unexpected place.

When does Loki Season 2 start?

In the last scene of the first season, there was a case with a red seal that said Loki would be back for a second season. We already know when the second season will start.

Variety says that the new season will come out on October 6, and the Echo series, which is part of the Hawkeye series, will come out in November of this year. Loki is the first Marvel show to get a second season because of this.

What’s going to happen in Loki Season 2?

At the end of the season, it looks like Loki is in a different world where Kang the Conqueror is in charge. Kang isn’t hiding behind the Time Keepers, who don’t really exist, and is seen as a king or some kind of important leader.

Ravonna Renslayer and Mobius had a small fight, and she left him alone in the AVT to go get “free will.” They also have a long way to go if they want to change things and help return all the kidnapped to their timelines, or at least know that they were not made by the Time Keepers and can make their own decisions.

Loki Season 2 Cast

Loki and Sylvie, played by Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino, will definitely be back. We also hope to see Owen Willson as Mobius and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer. The scene after the credits shows that Kang still has a bigger part to play in how this story develops. However, Jonathan Majors was involved in controversy and was fired from several projects, so it is possible that another actor will play the character and use the fact that there are different versions of him to explain why he looks different.

Classic Loki seems to be dead for good, but there are many other versions of Loki left in The Void that could work together to stop Kang. Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) also has a task in the AVT that he must carry out.

Variety says that Everything Everywhere All at Once’s Ke Huy Quan will also be in the Loki Season 2.

Who’s producing and directing Loki Season 2?

The departures of season 1 head writer Michael Waldron and director Kate Herron shortly after the second season was confirmed added credence to Loki’s intended aim as a limited series. Herron stated her intention to only be involved in the show for one season, while Waldron’s commitments to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, a now-defunct Star Wars project Lucasfilm denies ever existed, and Avengers: Secret Wars (the Avengers film meant to cap off the Multiverse Saga), necessitated the appointment of new writing leadership. Eric Martin, a first-season writer, quickly emerged as Waldron’s replacement.

Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will take Herron’s place as directors. The couple directed Moon Knight’s middle chapters and are also recognized for The Endless and the VHS: Viral segment “Bonestorm.” They were claimed to be enthusiastic to explore another of Marvel’s outcasts before shooting the season in the summer and fall of 2022.

Kevin Feige, the CEO of Marvel Studios, and Waldron are among the executive producers. Other members of the production team include director of photography Isaac Bauma (a Channel Zero and Servant veteran), editor Paul Zucker, and composer Natalie Holt.

When does season 2 of Loki premier?

Loki will return for a second six-episode season on Friday, October 6. It is unclear whether the series will return for a third season, but we expect that to be revealed in the last minutes of the final season 2 episode, which will air on Friday, November 10. On Wednesday, November 29, the series finale will be shortly followed by the launch of Hawkeye spin-off Echo.
