The Nun 2 is the most recent movie in the world of The Conjuring. It tells us more about the Warrens’ past and the monsters they’ve been looking for in each movie.
The first part of the film came out in 2018. It starred Demián Bichir and Taissa Farmiga, who is the younger sister of Vera Farmiga, who stars in the El Conjunto movies. It was about a priest and a novice nun who have to go to a remote town in Romania to look into the death of a nun.
When they get there, they find that there are evil forces in the convent, and they have to fight a scary thing that wants to get out of there and let the case loose on the world. This thing takes the form of a moody nun, who later causes a lot of trouble for the Warrens.
The story continues in the sequel, which will come out before The Conjuring 4, and it looks like it will be much scary.

Taissa Farmiga is back as Sister Irene in the first trailer for the movie, but the story has moved to a school for girls where strange things are happening and the kids know something is wrong.
Sister Irene thinks I came for her because the nun is back, but the children are in danger and she is the only one who can stop her.
The trailer also explains who Valak is and why he is after Irene. Irene must now also think about the girls in her care who are after by the same devil.

The Nun 2 movie comes out in theaters on September 8, 2023 and then it will join the other movies in the story on streaming services.
Taissa Farmiga, who was in The Final Girls and The Bling Ring, is back as Sister Irene. This time, she’s joined by Storm Reid, who plays Zendaya’s younger sister in Euphoria, and Anna Popplewell, who played Susan Pevensie in the Narnia movies.
Also, Bonnie Arons plays the dark, evil nun who haunts Irene and the other girls at the school again.
What is The Nun 2 about?
The story takes place in France in the 1950s and tells us more about the case that leads to the Warrens and the rest of the Conjuring world.
This time, a priest is under attack and evil is spreading everywhere. This leads Sister Irene to find out that the nun she fought in the last movie was not killed, but is back and wants to kill her and all the girls who live in the school where she is now.
Valak must be destroyed for good, but Irene will need all the help she can get to do it and keep herself, her children, and everyone else safe.

The interesting thing about this movie is that it tells us more about Valak’s past. For example, the trailer says that he used to be an angel but lost his power when God rejected him. Now he wants his power back and won’t stop until he gets it or someone sends him back to hell.
Who Is Making The Nun 2?
The Nun 2 movie will be directed by Michael Chaves, who will return to The Conjuring franchise. Chaves debuted as a member of the franchise when he directed The Curse of La Llorona, which Wan produced. They then worked together again when Chaves directed The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, bringing a new level of immersive darkness with horrifying imagery suggesting demonic possession.
The story and screenplay for The Nun II were written by Akela Cooper. Cooper was most recently recognized for her work on the 2023 horror thriller M3GAN. She previously collaborated with James Wan on his smash track Malignant. Cooper has spent much of her career in the horror genre, with past productions including Grimm and American Horror Story. She has, however, dabbled in the world of superheroes, having written episodes for Luke Cage, Jupiter’s Legacy, and Avengers Assemble.

Screenwriters Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing, who previously collaborated on the horror and horror-adjacent movies The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Eli, Fear The Walking Dead, and Dead Summer, are working alongside Cooper.
When Was The Nun II Made?
On October 12, 2022, James Wan posted on Instagram a picture of a priest somewhere with elaborate white walls, confirming that filming for the sequel has officially commenced. Later that year, filming was completed.
