Ben Affleck does not receive the same respect or acclaim despite being the same age as Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Affleck became well-known after he and his friend from boyhood Matt Damon co-wrote the script for the movie Good Will Hunting. We presume that your fault is frequently the productions you chose. He concentrated on action dramas in the late 1990s, but failures like Daredevil and a few romantic comedies made him less well-known in the 2000s.

However, Ben Affleck has made wiser decisions about the films he plays in over the course of his career, particularly in the last several years. He now has the opportunity to demonstrate his acting abilities outside of war films like Pearl Harbor and The Sum of All Fears.

Chasing Amy (1997)

One of Ben Affleck’s earliest films was directed by Kevin Smith. For him, that was a promising indication. The actor portrays a comic book creator who develops feelings for a lesbian woman, upsetting his best Ben Affleck movies. The film received plaudits for its humor, social satire, and the performances of its lead actors. The actor’s Hollywood career began with this role, and as a result, the film is today regarded as a classic.

Good Will Hunting (1997)

While both of them wrote the screenplay for this film, which was directed by Matt Damon, Ben Affleck would only become well-known for his role as Will Hunting’s friend. He also demonstrated his ability to develop and direct captivating storylines, which would make him a superb filmmaker.

The story on the tape centers on a young mayor who reveals to be an excellent math student. However, because of his rebelliousness, he is unable to advance in his work; as a result, an instructor (played by Robin Williams) assists him.

Argus (2012)

This film, which Ben Affleck directed and for which he won the Oscar for Best Ben Affleck Movies, is based on a novel about a CIA operation in which a bogus science fiction film was produced in order to save a group of Americans in Tehran, Iran. As a filmmaker, Affleck excels, as evidenced by his prior films. Additionally, he performs far differently than we’ve ever seen him before as the operation’s leader Tony Mendez. Although he received criticism for portraying the figure as Latino, the man did a superb job of honoring the character and his incredible tale.

Gone Girl (2014)

He seemed to have been born to play Nick Dunne in what may be the best Ben Affleck Movies ever made. In the film, a guy learns that his wife is gone and assumes that she has been abducted. Everyone believes that he killed her, though, because she didn’t care about herself, and all the evidence seems to support this theory. By leading everyone to believe that he is to blame for everything and is merely trying to persuade us otherwise, Affleck tries to capitalize on the audience’s perception of him as an awkward man.

State of Play (2009)

It could be among the best Ben Affleck Movies. It was directed by Kevin Macdonald and is based on the British television series of the same name. Ben Affleck’s character as a congressman’s mistress is investigated by a reporter portrayed by Russell Crowe. It takes a close look at press freedom, discussing its relationship to politics and its limitations.

Batman v Superman (2016)

The Bat Man had more faith in Ben Affleck than anyone else. Actually, neither Michael Keaton nor Christian Bale. But like them, he ended up becoming one of history’s greatest actors in Ben Affleck films. Thanks to the comic book The Dark Knight Returns, he did an excellent job of portraying both the billionaire Bruce Wayne and the darker side of him. Even though the Justice League drastically altered his function, he nevertheless contributed to Batman v. Superman’s status as one of the best Batman movies.

Triple Frontier (2019)

We previously stated that we wouldn’t discuss Ben Affleck’s war films due to the negative reviews they received, but this one is different because it received positive reviews and was a pleasant surprise due to the actor’s departure from his 1990s persona. This demonstrates his professional growth and ability to take the lead in a film starring more well-known actors. A group of retired soldiers band together in the film to plot a theft against a gang boss. It’s more interesting because it’s not truly a war movie.

The Last Duel (2021)

You should look for this Ridley Scott film to see Matt Damon and Ben Affleck acting together once more, despite the fact that it received little attention once it came out. In the film, a man is accused of raping his wife; in response, he dares an old friend to a duel. There are three different points of view used to tell the story.
