House of the Dragon chapter 6 introduced several new characters, including Rhaenyra Targaryen’s three sons and Alicent Hightower’s now-teenage sons. While Aegon is the most important, his brother is much more interesting.
As we see in the series, 10 years after Rhaenyra’s wedding, the two main characters aren’t really friends anymore. They each have three children, and the hatred between them is at its worst. This is something that will be passed down to their children, who are growing up as friends for now but won’t always be.
Alicent hates Rhaenyra because her father told her that if the princess becomes queen, Aegon and Alicent’s other brothers and sisters are all but dead. Rhaenyra hasn’t shown that she wants to kill her half-siblings, but Alicent doesn’t see it that way, and the way Aemond Targaryen is treated isn’t helping the situation.
Aemond is Aegon’s younger brother, and in this chapter, his brother and his nephews make fun of him, especially because he doesn’t have a dragon.
Who is Aemond Targaryen in House of the Dragon?
Queen Alicent and King Viserys have three children. Two of them are boys, and the youngest is Aemond, who is obsessed with dragons and doesn’t have the same personality as his older brother. , but one of Daemon and Laena’s daughters also has the bad luck that the egg put in her cradle never opens.
Not all Targaryens are born with dragons, so Aemond is the only one in the group who can’t train as a dragon rider in the Dragon Pit. To make matters worse, his brother and nephews cheat and make fun of him, which makes it even harder for him to train. by giving him a pig.

And Aemond’s dragon isn’t just any dragon. He manages to tame Vhagar, which belonged to Laena Velaryon and Queen Visenya, Aegon the Conqueror’s wife before she killed it when she realized she was going to die giving birth to her third child.

When Aemond was 10, he was involved in an event that changed his life and ended up destroying what was left of his mother’s relationship with Rhaenyra. Aemond, Aegon, and the children of Rhaenyra train together and learn how to fight as soldiers and warriors. However, they always end up fighting, and it is in one of these fights that Amond faces his nephew Lucerys (after attacking his younger brother and calling them “Strong” because of the rumors that they are bastards) and loses an eye.
Criston Cole teaches Aemond how to be a master swordsman. He eventually puts a sapphire in place of his eye. This makes him angry at his nephew, who killed his sister, so he plans to get even with him. A Dance with Dragons starts to take shape. To get rid of it, he uses his dragon (with this, Aemond becomes known as Kingslayer ).
