The Dweller, The Nomad, and The Ascetic are the most mysterious people in The Rings of Power. They are three figures who travel together and look out over the crater that was made when The Stranger fell into Middle-earth.
At this point in the story, no one knows who or where Sauron is, how he’s going to get back, or who all of his allies are. However, there are many theories about it, and they all point to characters like Halbrand and The Stranger, who were found by the Harfoots. He seems to have a lot of power and at least a little bit of evil inside of him.
But in the fifth book of the series, there was an even more mysterious character. This person had a strange look that made many people think it was Sauron or one of his most loyal followers.
In the scene in question, Brirdie Sisson plays a type of elf with a veil and blue eyes who is with a warrior species with red hair and a woman who is carrying a shield with the constellations that The Stranger is looking for. We don’t know much about these people or what they want, but they seem to be up to no good.
Who is The Dweller and Why is He Following The Stranger?
Time magazine says that The Dweller, The Nomad (Edith Poor), and The Ascetic (Kali Kopae) have been traveling together for a long time and that they come from the lands of Rhûn, which are to the east of Middle-earth. This is a place that appears in Tolkien’s stories and is connected to Sauron.
It is said that all the races of this world came from that area, but eventually, most of them moved away. Only the Easterlings stayed, who later joined Sauron’s army and became his allies. Also, it is thought that this is where the Blue Wizards disappeared, which is important because it is possible that The Stranger is one of them.
But who exactly are these three female travelers looking for in The Stranger? Inverse says that they could be part of a cult of Sauron, which is a religious group of men who were persuaded to follow Morgoth and work in secret. They could think that The Stranger is actually the Dark Lord, who is an expert at changing his appearance. In the Rings of Power timeline, he takes on the identity of Annatar to get close to Celebrimbor and convince him to make the rings.
One possibility is that The Dweller is Sauron, who isn’t yet the Dark Lord but already shows physical signs of being controlled by the darkness. But if this is true, why does he want Sauron? Stranger?
Another possibility is that The Dweller and his friends are actually part of the supposed cult of Sauron. They want The Stranger to find their leader and help him carry out his evil plans, making sure he gets what he needs to do it.
The last possibility is that these three travelers are on a mission similar to Galadriel’s, which is to try to stop darkness and evil from spreading in Middle-earth. This would mean that they are looking for the man with the meteorite to find out if he is a good guy or not. It is about Sauron and being able to stop him before it’s too late. They may have seen the meteorite fall and thought it was a sign of bad things to come, so they need to find the person inside as part of a plan to protect the world.
It’s too early to tell what will happen, but it’s clear that the battle between good and evil has already begun and that these three characters could play a very important role.
