Demian Bichir in a new vampire series? That is exactly what we require right now.

The Mexican actor is having a breakthrough year, having acted in George Clooney’s The Midnight Sky, co-starring in Godzilla vs. Kong with Millie Bobby Brown, and having at least two projects in the works in Hollywood.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar-nominated actor (for the film A Better Life) began work on a new rendition of one of the most violent vampire stories in recent years a few months ago. Let the Right One In is based on John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel of the same name and the Swedish film of the same name, with a screenplay by Andrew Hinderaker (Penny Dreadful, Away).

Demián Bichir will be the protagonist and producer of the story, which will be directed by Seith Mann (Homeland, Blindspotting) in the initial chapters and will explore a totally different vampire scenario.

The vampire series differs from the original films in that it expands on the tale and offers a lot more information than was previously shown.

Bichir appears with Anika Noni Rose (Power), Grace Gummer (Mr. Robot), Kevin Carroll (Snowfall), Ian Foreman (Merry Wish-Mas), Jacob Buster (Colony), and Nick Stahl (Fear the Walking Dead), according to Collider.

According to the summary, Mark and his daughter Eleanor’s lives altered ten years ago when she turned a vampire. Eleanor lives in seclusion, only venturing out at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she requires to survive. Demián Bichir, Madison Taylor Baez, and Anika Noni Rose star.

When and where will it be released?

The series will premiere on Showtime on October 8, but we don’t yet know which platform it will be available in Mexico.

What is the story of Let The Right One In?

Let the Right One In (written in 2004 and initially adapted in 2008, with a second picture starring Chloe Grace Moretz) is about a father who is determined to safeguarding his 12-year-old daughter who has become a vampire. Her lives are transformed when she meets a lonely kid named Oskar, who provides her with the companionship she requires.

The novel was adapted into a film in 2008 and then again in 2010 in the United States under the title Let Me In, directed by Matt Reeves (director of The Batman) and starring Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Grace Moretz, Elias Koteas, and Richard Jenkins.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, A&E initially created a television series in 2015 with Jeff Davis (of Teen Wolf) on board to write the script, but the project was subsequently relocated to TNT, with Warner financing, and starring Kristoffer Joner. but they never took off.
