The next movie based on the classic Bambi will be called Bambi: The Reckoning. It will be a horror movie, which is a surprising change.
And it’s true that most of us who saw Bambi as kids remember how sad it made us feel. This Walt Disney Pictures movie was based on the novel Bambi, a life in the forest, which was written by the Austrian Felix Salten and first published in Vienna in 1923. His story is about a deer named Bambi from the time he is a baby until he is an adult. Bambi has to deal with some sad things in his life, but he also makes new friends and learns to be strong.
Plot
But in Bambi: The Reckoning, the tone of the story will be very different from that of the Disney classic. Now we will have a version of the story that is bloody and very different from the animated version from 1942, which was made by Clyde Geronimi, Arthur David, and James Algar.
In this story, Bambi will be ready to kill the hunters who killed his mother to get back at them, turning into a murderer.
Bambi: The Reckoning is being made in the same style as Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, a horror movie that will return to the classic children’s movie Winnie the Pooh in a version of the slasher subgenre and will be released in Mexico next year. In this movie, we see that Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, and Piglet have become wild and bad because their friend left them, and they only want revenge.

The movie Bambi: The Reckoning won’t be made until the following year, which will be the 100th anniversary of the book by Felix Salten that made this story so popular. The new movie will be made by ITN Studios and Jagged Edge Productions. It will be directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, who also directed the horror version of Winnie the Pooh.
American director Scott Jeffrey, who has made movies like Scarecrow’s Revenge, Easter Bunny Massacre, and Krampus: 12 Deaths at Christmas, will be in charge of Bambi: The Reckoning. Rhys Frake-Waterfield, who made Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, will be in charge of producing the movie. “The movie will be a new version of 1928 classic that we all love,” said the director. We were inspired by the designs of The Ritual on Netflix, and in this version, Bambi will be a bloodthirsty killing machine that hides in the wild forests.
