The first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 is now out in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Following a teaser revelation at the San Diego Comic-Con in mid-July, Lionsgate has now released a full-length trailer for the latest chapter in Keanu Reeves’ hitman franchise, in which he embarks on a globe-trotting quest to overthrow The High Table organization, which previously betrayed him. The sequel will be directed by Chad Stahelski from a narrative co-written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch (Hitman: Agent 47). The former previously worked on John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum in 2019. The fourth installment of John Wick is set to be released in March 2023.
John Wick Chapter 4 Trailer
The first trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 begins with the eponymous assassin (Reeves) paying his respects to an altar in memory of his late wife, hoping she hears his thoughts. Caine (Donnie Yen), the new enigmatic character seated next to him, tells Wick of his impending death, to which he receives a simple reply: “Maybe not.” As we’re given to images of trained assassins arming themselves with katanas, we’re introduced to Marquis de Gramont (Bill Skarsgrd), a high-ranking member of the High Table who brings a new set of rules and ideals into the organization.
Wick learns from returning character Winston (Ian McShane) that he must face de Gramont in single combat when he is threatened by him. “Win or lose, it’s a way out,” he says Wick, who has been attempting to get away from the life of a professional assassin for years. However, contesting the High Table would need him to be a member of the organization, which was never revealed in the earlier films. “Your family does,” Winston says, giving Wick free admission to the council and generating more doubts about the secrets his parents kept hidden. The conclusion of John Wick 3: Parabellum showed that Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) was also betrayed by the council and joined forces with Wick to seek vengeance. He may be seen handing out a snazzy suit to the titular hitman in the John Wick: Chapter 4 trailer, adding, “A men has to look his best when it’s time to get married or buried.”
Wick launches his global underworld search, swinging nunchucks and katanas against swarms of crowds headed by Shimazu, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin (Hiroyuki Sanada). The teaser for John Wick: Chapter 4 also shows the ultimate showdown between our protagonist and de Gramont, as the rules of the homicidal challenge are laid out for them. “Under the old rules, only one can live.” Failure to meet at sunrise will result in execution,” a voiceover warns, as we watch a flurry of action sequences, including one starring Japanese singer Rina Sawayama, who makes her feature film debut with John Wick 4.
It is worth noting that Derek Kolstad, the creator of John Wick, is not participating in Chapters 4 and 5. “No. At some point, the studio will inform you that your work has graduated, and you should wish it well. “I’m still friends with Chad [Stahelski], I’m still connected with Dave [David Leitch], and I’m excited to see what happens,” he told Collider. Nobody, directed by Ilya Naishuller and featuring Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) as the lead, was Kolstad’s most recent literary project.
John Wick: Chapter 4 Release date and cast
Lance Reddick as Continental Hotel concierge Charon, Shamier Anderson (Stowaway), Scott Adkins (Dead Reckoning), and Clancy Brown round out the cast for John Wick: Chapter 4. (The Shawshank Redemption).
John Wick: Chapter 4 will be released in theaters globally on March 24, 2023.
